Our Path Forward

Current Covid-19 Guidelines

We are following all state and federal guidance to maximize the safety of our clients and staff.

We may revise this plan as new information becomes available.

We are Open!

  • We are offering services both in-person and via telehealth in the following manner:
    • New evaluations and intakes will occur in-person or by telehealth according to each family’s comfort level.
    • Treatment plans may include a combination of in-person and telehealth visits to maximize progress toward goals while minimizing in-person visits.
    • All in-person visits will follow the policies below.
  • What if my child develops symptoms?
    • If your child presents with any symptoms listed on the CDC symptoms list for COVID-19, please call us right away. We will ask that your child remain at home until either:
      • You receive doctor’s clearance to return to regular activities OR
      • Your child’s symptoms have been improving for 72 hours AND it has been at least 10 days since initial symptoms appeared.
    • While under quarantine, you are welcome to receive telehealth services if your child feels well enough to benefit.

We are still implementing all of the policies found below, in order to help protect our clients and staff.

  • Our office takes your temperature prior to you entering the office.
  • When you enter the building, we ask that you immediately wash your hands in the bathroom. We have hand sanitizer available for those who are unable to wash hands.
  • We ask that you and your child either remove shoes upon entry to the building, or change into clean, inside-only shoes. Socks must be worn if not wearing shoes.
  • Our waiting room remains closed.
  • Parents and siblings, if wearing masks, are welcome to join the therapy session. Alternatively, we will come to the door to greet your child and will bring them back to the door when the session is over.
  • Appointments are managed to allow for social distancing between clients, as well as time to disinfect in between consecutive clients. This might mean that you are offered fewer options for scheduling your appointments.
  • Staff will be wearing Personal Protective Equipment for everyone’s safety.
  • Per the CDC, children over the age of 2 are encouraged to wear a cloth mask when in public. However, we understand that some of our clients may experience extreme distress wearing a mask, or that masks may present a safety concern for some children. We encourage parents to refer to the American Academy of Pediatrics recommendations pertaining to children and masks to make an informed decision for their child (these may be found here: https://services.aap.org/en/pages/2019-novel-coronavirus-covid-19-infections/masks-and-children-during-covid-19/).

We are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, and every client and family, safe in our practice.
