What's Included?
Sensory consultations are typically one-time, virtual appointments that are 90 minutes in length. They are available at a variety of times of days to suit your schedule. Parents: children do not need to participate in the appointment, but may if you feel they would like to participate in the discussion. If desired, you may also choose to schedule a follow-up virtual visit for additional assistance in applying the provided strategies, but this is not required. Each consultation is provided by one of our occupational therapists with advanced knowledge in sensory processing.
Your therapist will spend the first 20-30 minutes of your consultation being sure that they thoroughly understand your or your child’s sensory profile. They may choose to send a sensory questionnaire ahead of the appointment, or conduct a more informal interview according to the concerns you express when scheduling.
The remaining 60 minutes of your appointment will be spent providing strategies and recommendations to support your/your family’s specific needs. Time will be spent to make sure that any strategies being recommended are feasible and accessible to you.
After your appointment, you will receive a summary with all listed strategies and recommendations to reference into the future.
This service, including everything listed above, is available for a one-time fee of $175. If desired, any follow-up appointments would be at an additional charge. If needed, we are able to provide flexible payment plans.
